Lena came with her family in 1909. A passenger list and records from Ellis Island show that Lena or Lina arrived on 7/24/1909, from Basel, Switzerland on the La Lorraine, from La Harve, France.

Fridolin and his wife (who was homesick) along with their daughters returned to Basel in 1912.

Frieda and Lena returned to the U.S.A. in the spring of 1928 to Patterson, NJ where they Lived with Pauline and Gene. When Frieda and Lena could not find jobs in Patterson they moved to the Swiss girls home on West 67th Street in N.Y.C.. Later they got an apartment on East 64th St.

Lena was found in the 1930 census working as a maid in Englewood NJ.

On July 25, 1946 Lena petitioned for Naturalization

When they retired Frieda and Lena moved to San Francisco.

Social Securities death record indicates:
Lena was born 8/08/1891 in NY, and died 1/1971 in San Francisco, CA.

Study
Our thanks to Mary O'Dell of Hayden, Idaho who provided all of the information about Fritz and Pauline Trefzger who arrived in 1905, Fridolin and the rest of his family who arrived in 1909, along with all of the photos.
Thanks to Peter Trefzger who recommended we contact Mary O'Dell.
Comment
Although family records state that Fridolin was born in Wehr, Baden no birth or baptismal records for Fridelin, his wife or any of the children have been found so we can’t tie Fridolin into either of the 2 large Trefzger families from Wehr.
