William George Metz, the third child of George and Justina, was born in 1867 on the farm. William's future wife Margaret Baldus was born in 1869. She was affectionately known as "Muffy".
"William Metz and Margaret Baldus were married on Nov. 12, 1890. He was 22 and she was 21. They lived on the farm with William's mother, Justina. William's father died in 1888. William's brother Joseph also lived there. Don't know if John and Aloysius, his 2 younger brothers, lived there at the time." by Vivian Riestenberg
William and Muffy raised 6 children on the farm. William died July 2,1919.
"Oct. 10, 1957. Muffy died after a long, full and healthy life."
