updated story

On July 26,2011 I received the following e-mail from Lori L. Brancaleone RN,HCD-D, COS_C

"I was looking through the story of the family history sent by my great aunt Eleanor.

It said my grandmother Alma died of TB. Well my Mom tells the story a little differently.

My grandmother Alma did have TB but she developed pneumonia and was sent to the hospital from the sanitorium. She actually died there from choking on a chicken bone. They barely came into the room cause of how contagious TB was - so no one realized that she was choking.

To this day - I think my family still has an outstanding credit balance of a few dollars at the hospital - but no one ever tried to collect.

My great aunt Verna also had TB, but was also one of the first people to get the cure. And she died not long before my mother did.

My great anut Ruth was the last to pass away. She died just last month.

Thank you.

Lori"

Thank you Lori.
