Aunt Anna's trust

Facts

In 1910 Simon Trefzger was retired and living at 116-120 S. Monroe Ave with his wife Katharina and 2 dughters: Marie Trefzger Bauer and Anna Trefzger. (From family records and the 1910 federal census)

Simon died in 1921. (From death records and family records.)

Katharina died later in 1921. (From family records.)

In 1945 Aunt Marie Trefzger Bauer died. (From family records.)

About 1946 Aunt Anna was hospitalized and then had to be put into a nursing home. (From family records.)

Richard "Rick" Berger of Cincinnati was one of the trustees of Aunt Anna's trust. (From Jerry Trefzger.)

In 1956 Dad told Rick that I was going to drive to Peoria. Rick called me and ask me to meet with Roy W. Hughes and tell him that if he would pay all of Aunt Anna's expenses till she died that he could have the Trefzger homestead on S. Monroe Ave. (From Jerry Trefzger.)

Evidently Roy agreed.

In 1957 the house was torn down. The newspaper article about the house being torn down says: 'The property on which the house is located has been acquired on a long term lease by Roy W. Hughes.' ( From a Peoria newspaper article dated November 11,1957.)

Aunt Anna Trfzger died in 1966. (From death records and family records.)

There was a final distribution of a Trefzger-Bauer Trust in 1972, 27 years after Aunt Marie died and 6 years after Aunt Anna died. (From Sharon Trefzger Corn.)

We do not have a copy of the Trefzger-Bauer Trust or Aunt Anna's Trust.

From the facts above I believe:

That the Trefzger-Bauer Trust was established by Simon Trefzger before he died in 1921 to take care of his wife Katharina and his 2 daughters, Aunt Marie Bauer and Aunt Anna Trefzger.

That the Trust contained the homestead and property at 116-120 S. Monroe Ave. and other assets.

That sometime before 1945 the cash on hand was getting low and the property was sold to Roy W. Hughes on a long term lease to produce money to cover Aunt Marie's and Aunt Anna's living expenses while they were living in the 116-120 S Monroe Ave homestead.

That by 1956 cash in the trust was running low on cash so the trustees made the offer to Roy W. Hughes to turn over the honestead if he would pay all of Aunt Anna's expenses until she died.

Therefore I believe that Aunt Anna's trust was actually the Trefzger-Bauer Trust set up by Simon Trefzger.
